Dear friends,
As we reflect on the state of our world, we're reminded that every nation and community faces its own unique challenges. And it's clear we've got some things that need healing, right? The answer is to humble ourselves before God, pray, and repent. Over the weekend, I found myself
reading what His Word has to say about this very subject:
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)
I encourage you to pray for your nation and fellow citizens, the turning from wicked ways, and for God to bring healing to our land. As we spend time with Him this week, let us also come together to support and uplift one another in Christ. Join us at our upcoming Encouragement Meetup to
pray, learn, and grow as a disciple of Jesus:
- We'll enjoy a time of welcome and opening prayer, followed by greetings from myself and a chance to get acquainted with one another.
- You'll be inspired by a powerful testimony from our friend, Pastor Waseem Yousaf from Pakistan, who will share about his ministry using DJJ
materials.
- We'll share praises and prayer requests, and Dr. Jim Carpenter, Partnership Director, will lead us in a short lesson on "Avoiding Discipleship Landmines."
- We'll wrap up with a Q&A session and close in prayer.
Whether you're just starting out with our Bible Studies or leading groups of disciple-making leaders, we'd love to have you join us this month (and every month) at our online meetup via ZOOM. We're hosting two sessions this week to accommodate different time zones. Simply click the links below to find a start time that works for you. We look forward to connecting with you and being encouraged together as we pursue our shared goal of making disciples all over the
world!
